Welcome to your sleep meditation. My name's Christina, and tonight I'll guide you into deep rest and relaxation. I want to encourage you to let go of the day as you journey into deep sleep. Give yourself permission to set free any stressors from the day, any difficult people that were a part of your day. And let go even of the simplest of events that happened today. I invite you to enter into your own self-healing and positive mindset. Take a moment to make yourself as comfortable as possible, making any adjustments to your pillows to ensure complete comfort as you begin to sink into the surface below you. Slow your mind and still your body as you slow the momentum from the day. Begin to notice your breath as it is, receiving oxygen into your lungs. And as you exhale, feel your body intentionally sinking deeper into bed as ease starts to flow through your body. Notice that with each inhale you feel the cool air hit the back of your throat. And with each exhale, you feel your body begin to fully relax into rest mode. There is nothing for you to do here, no tasks, no to-do lists, and no pressing matters, and take a deep breath in. Hold for a moment and release when you're ready. As you breathe in, I want you to breathe in for a count of four, all the way into your belly. And on your exhale, breathe out for a count of eight. When you exhale longer than you inhale, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system, slowing heart rate and lowering blood pressure. Do this for a couple of breaths and enjoy the feelings and sensations in your body as you begin to melt into deep relaxation. Consider each breath out a way to release any negative energies and tensions that you may be holding on to. And consider each breath in a way to receive life and the energies that you desire. The breath is where you have the ability to heal your mind and body and let go of the day. Take a moment of gratitude here as you may feel yourself beginning to drift off into sleep and sinking even further into complete relaxation and comfort. As your body surrenders to relaxation, begin to let go of any struggles you may have. Let go of any resistance that lives in your mind or your body. Simply just be right now. Begin to soften your body as you slowly fade into the surface below you. And scan your body for any sensations that come up as you begin to observe anything that you need to let go of. Notice your forehead. And if you're holding on to any tension here, begin to let that go. Notice your shoulders and allow them to ease as you breathe out. Slowly bring your attention to your lower back and hips. And as you breathe in and out, allow space to relax the muscles that are tight here. Notice your knees, and if they feel burdened by the movements of the day, allow your breath to guide them to ease. And as you notice your feet and ankles, allow them to drop naturally so that you are not holding them in place. Surrender to soften any areas that you are holding tension as you offer awareness to your body. Let go of any negativity. Accepting any sensations that exist without changing anything. I want you to allow the following words to send you into truth for tomorrow. Allowing these words to become your truth. I am surrounded by love and support. I am at peace. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned. I am open to new opportunities. I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
